I have a hen, the breeder is calling her a California White.
all the chicks are white, hens have a black dot on their heads.
all chicks have some black flecks but more on hens than roosters.
they are beautiful chickens but odd. anyone ever heard of them.?

I've heard of them:

We have a California White, she is the only one to survive from our initial hens. She survived a mink massacre as well as attempts by a dog and hawks. She laid regularly and often for four years; we are interested to see if she continues to lay in the spring, as she stopped after the dog episode. She isn't lap friendly but she is voice trained and will come when called.
