It is interesting.
I haven't seen it before but the only duckwing chicks I have experience with are Welsummers and they're very consistent.

I've had Welsummers, Red JungleFowl, Silver Duckwing Old English Game Bantams & Brassy Back OEGBs, all those didn't seem to have that characteristic.

I've never noticed it before. I'm not sure if that means it was not there to be noticed, or if it could have been there and I wasn't paying attention.

Wow, my aunt knows nothing about breeding chickens. She's thinks the fact I'm breeding survival chickens(With Gamefowl), means they'll be aggressive to other people, & small children. She thinks the fact they're bonded with me is the reason they don't attack me.
Uhm, no. They never attacked a person, nor child as that is a trait that is not anything I want in my birds.
She seems to believe the misconceptions as truth. Games are the most human friendly breed out there.

I'll let her believe what she wants though. She thinks the fact she's been raising chickens for 20yrs means she knows more then I do.
I would try to help her learn new things about chickens, but I have the feeling she's not one that'll listen to someone who's younger.

It's ok and I also understand that you are probably stressed with everything right now. I don't know how old your aunt is, but I do know us Mainers can be a bit stubborn in our ways, and sometimes those ways are based off of the old ways of living or wives-tales before we were taught anything different (or even Science itself- take note that studies have shown we have some of the worst schools in the country).

Try to stick in there and be patient and sometimes it's just better to agree to disagree. Hoping you the best!

Well, she's not originally from Maine, she was originally from Michigan, then Montana, before Maine. That's a lot of M's.

Doing all I can until we move out at least. Looking at a 22 acre farmhouse that's about 38 minutes away.
