Does anyone have experience with a mixed flock of birds vaccinated for Mareks with birds unvaccinated? What happened to the birds weekly/monthly/over the years living together?

Thanks!

When I buy chicks from an online hatchery I always opt to vaccinate for Mareks. However, when I hatch my own eggs, I do not vaccinate. I looked into ordering the vaccine and administering it myself but it was expensive to ship and there were several other factors that made vaccinating seem unfeasible on such a small scale, so I decided not to.

I don't know if this is the kind of information you are looking for, but my flock of 20 is a mix of vaccinated hatchery birds and non-vaccinated birds (home-hatched), and none have ever shown any signs of Mareks that I am aware of. I try to be conscious of bio-security and I have never brought in outside birds (other than 1-day-old mail order hatchery chicks). The hatchery birds and my home-hatched have been together around 2 years now, I guess.

Thanks exactly what information that I’m looking for.
