Thing is MJ most of the young males are lovely while they are young. It would be better if you could keep him long enough to find out if he would still be lovely as a juvenile and then adult but that option isn't available for you. The no rooster laws completely infuriate me. They are sexists, species ist and completely unreasonable given the noisy world we live in.The worst part is I've realised he doesn't even know his own strength or how to fight. He was so easy to pick up and put in the box.
He's such an innocent.
This is going to plague my conscience for a good long while.
I ought to have got sex linked chicks, but it didn't even cross my mind. I though Australorp because Mary's so special and coronation sussex because they're such nice big birds and I hadn't had a white chicken yet.
I would have loved to keep him.Thing is MJ most of the young males are lovely while they are young. Yes I know. Urban chicken keeping, it leaves a lot to be desired.I would have loved to keep him.
Very frustrating.Yes he did. And he wasted their time when they could've been helping people who are more needy, like the elderly, sick or disabled. He's an "educated" healthy man in the prime of his life, with a family, who drove into flooded roads during a natural disaster because he hadn't brought in enough food in spite of all the official preparation warnings![]()
