molting hens maybe, pics

Mine look like that, too. Roosters typically damage feathers on the back of the hen's head a well as the lower back. I attribute it to hens picking at each other. I have even seen a hen mounting other hens, that is who I blame. She looks rougher than my rooster.
 
I have the same problem...no rooster, no signs of mites (I've tried checking after dark w/flashlight) out of 13 hens, about 5 of them have issues. I would really like to have this clear up:/

Not much consolation, but at least you're not alone!
 
I had a chicken that would chew the feathers off anyone laying next to her in the cage. When I sold her, they feathers grew back on the others so that validated the fact I had a feather chewer! LOL
