Hey there everyone... I am also on BackyardHerds as SheepGirl -- some of you may know me there.

I am in college and I am in a business class and our project is to complete a business plan. I was looking into setting up an online web store to sell chicken supplies and equipment for my project and I need some market research from the very best here at BackyardChickens!

I have created a survey with some very basic questions, please access it here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QZFF82H

Thank you so much everyone for your help!

(I will be accepting submissions until 12/01/17 to be used in my final project.)

Market research is very important but the results from this survey may not yield enough information of value to develop a business plan... you need more details... dollars spent per month for example, you need to allow for multiple responses on purchase drivers (price, brand, quality, etc)... how these drivers interact are critical... well lots of stuff. You might consider the exact bits of data you need for a motivating business plan... and then make sure all those questions are in the survey... where do these people live? if its online you will compete with amazon etc... where do they shop online... how old are they, income levels, education levels... how satisfied are they with current options? Is there a need for new or different offerings... anyway good look with your project... i dont mean to be negative but more data is more power and that will make a better business plan for success

I agree. There should be some clarification as to food/treats and equipment too.
