New to chickens

My husband and I just got chickens to raise. We have raised them in the past, but has been a few years. I found this when I was trying to find ways to cover the roof of an old dog pen we repurposed for chickens. We have chicken wire on top with a PVC pipe across the top, but it was not sturdy enough to hold the tarp after a rain. So looking for idea. s

Could you make the center higher so it's kind of like a teepee of sorts?
