That is a good sign -- escaping from the bandage. You might get a [human] baby tee shirt and put that on over the bandage. I generally have to tie a knot in the back of the neck to make it too small to pull down. They are very good with their feet wriggling out of bandages and tee shirtsI’m goig tosee if I’m able to get some . Just went to see how she is doing and she survived the night. Only she managed to get out of the bandage. So will check for more sturdy bandage too!
I am moving house today. I will try and check back in on my phone, but I have to drive 900 miles with a UHaul trailer and might forget. I'll do my best.@ruthhope the enrofloxacin is indeed not allowed in Europe. a vet is able to see her in an hour So hopefully she will get the right medication
i’m so sorry, only got an alert of your last message, not this oneI checked in!
So far so good. Use the pain killer and if the vet didn't give antibiotics, pray he doesn't have a deep infection.@ruthhope The vet said the emergency stitches were well done but he thought it would be better to euthanise her because of the femur which is broken badly and the risk of infection from the belly wound. But because she is so fierce I just couldn’t give up.
Hower we are a day and a half further now and she’s still going strong. Even tried to stand on 1 leg multiple times. And the wound is not looking infected.
She’s got quite a temper at the moment. Hissing if I come close and biting my hand. She completely done with the treatment.
My next question is, how soon can I let her swim in clean water so she can clean herself? Because the manual removal of poop is also something she hates
