Hi!

I was able to pick up a couple of the old "antique" metal nesting boxes- both for $50 total. One has 12 boxes (square holes), the other has 10 holes (round holes). I put the 12 nest box in my coop. I would like to sell the other one. It needs some TLC, most of the trays that go in the bottom have holes, but the roots on it still fold up and are functional.

My question is....
How much should I try to sell it for? I saw one on Ebay, in slightly better condition than mine, for $124, with two bids already.

Are people still interested in these? Thanks!

You bet people are interested in them - lots of folks want to go back to the older ways of chicken keeping and these are really pretty cool old boxes - you shouldn't have trouble unloading them. Not sure what your market will bear but good luck to you!

I was so excited to get them. They are pretty neat! I didnt even have to look, I posted online that I had some extra chickens for sale and some lady asked me if it was interested, I even paid her an extra ten bucks bc I felt they were worth it. My fiance told me to hold onto both for now, but I dont have a need for the second one at this point in time.

Here they are :)
I see your location is SW MI, I am about 7 miles south of New Buffalo, MI.
They need some TLC but I think they are awesome :)

Cool, I love those things! Too bad their bottoms are rusted out. Too big for my coop, I only need 4 nests.
Wonder if they could be taken apart and rebuilt, are they riveted or screwed together?

I'm about 10 miles west of Paw Paw, so pretty close.
