Oldest Hen Age and Breed

My oldest was Sweet Cheeks at 9 years old. She was a barnyard mix, but I suspect silkie and ameraucana due to her purple skin, some tiny feathers on her feet, the muffs, and the shape of her hackles.
She was a sweet, feisty little old lady.

Aww so sweet.She looks a little like my Petal who died aged 9.RIRxAraucana.Still laid 3 eggs a week aged 8.

I have a barred really ck and a brahma who will both be 9 in August. BUT I have a hook bill duck who is 16.

My Welsummer hen, the last of our flock, will be 12 in a couple of months. She was still laying last season but is definitely looking her age this year...

My Baby-chicken died at the ripe old age of 14 years and nine months. I got her when she was a day-old chick. She was a Japanese Buff Bantam, and had more personality than most people!
