Did you bust out the tape measure? I feed my girls the 20% layer feed and mostly all of them lay large eggs like that, they are just awesome. By the way, I dont have an egg weigher either, I just use my tape measure. he he he So far, the biggest one that I have been blessed with was 4 inches long from one of my Amerucana girls, and it had 3 yokes in it! When I first walked into their coop, I saw the jumbo egg next to a regular size one and was wondering who was laying rabbit pellet size eggs! The closer I got to it, I realized that the other egg was a large egg too, and my jumbo egg was much larger and was from.................ouch, the chickens butt! I quickly ran inside the house to google the largest egg ever laid by a chicken, surely thinking I had the golden egg maker! LOL, no such luck. Mine only had 3 yokes in it and the world record holder had like 9 inside! I am new to the forum and havent quite figured out how to attach pics to the post, so any help out there would be greatly appreciated. I would love to show off this blue beauty.
