One of mine is trying to crow

This is 'Day-zee' he has a crooked tail
The gold in the background is one of 'the triplets' I didn't bother to name them because I can't tell them apart but I suspected from the start that they were boys, they were always chest pumping and looking for a bruising despite being the youngest of the whole lot. They still haven't fully feathered but they have wattles and comb development. They'd be almost 9 weeks old now.

[QUOTE="esme13, post: 23591571, member: 277522" Are any of them being dominant or trying to square each other off in sizing ?

Not really, they do the stare down thing quite often but one just walks away and leaves the other standing there looking like a twit 😅 the gold triplets pretend to chest bump and have been doing that since day one in the brooder. They're all pretty chill and huddle together in a line on the roost each night and stick together in a pack during the day and come running en masse to me when they hear my voice 😍

You have a lot of beautiful boys, we’re these straight run when you got them?
Yes, I wanted to end up with 5 girls and my breeder suggested getting 10 due to the 50/50 boy vs girl chicken math thing. I was hoping for 3 silvers and 2 golds. I needed chicks because I wanted my dogs to become accustomed to having chooks around and it has worked out perfectly, I now have a couple of girls, a boy and will swap the other boys out for 3 hens and eat the rest 😉
