Thinking about breeding a buff brahma hen with a svart hona rooster. Anyone ever done this?

Hey folks, I'm not new to chickens but am finally looking into trying to work on a specific breed, and not just our own backyard mixes. I've just started reading about genetics, but have some questions. I am trying to read back in the 50+ pages of this thread but maybe someone can answer this easily.

I have a male and female light Brahma. I am considering getting some new birds from Wimberlytexaschick, who has for sale: Gold and Blue Partridge Brahmas, Buff Laced Brahmas, Blue Laced Red Brahmas/Gold Laced Brahmas, and Lavender Laced Brahmas.

Are there any of those birds that I could still use the light Brahmas, for any productive breeding? Looking at the kippenjungle calculator, I'm not really seeing any useful combinations, but like I said I'm brand new to genetics!

Well then, by all means, do it..Lol...I think the black would just be dominant, but I've never tried to figure a mix of those two colors.. Good luck!!

I am looking for a roster or two. Do not care about the color as long as they Large Brahma the bigger the better. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know. I live close to Omaha,NE.

Those look like splashes, no? If so, wouldn't that still be considered breeding true?

I just Bought some Beautiful Lavender Legbar Pullets and 2 Cockerels. I can't wait to breed the Cockerel to My Beautiful light Brahma.

Mine has vulture hocks.. I think it is buff but does not have the black neck.
