I built this one with scrap wood and hardware cloth. I am not a builder if things.

I used hardware cloth on the floor but I pretty much cover all my cage's floor with dirt boxes.

What is the spacing of the bars on the cage? I couldn’t find it in the description. I was thinking of getting 2 smaller sized metal dog crates as small breeder pens, but I’d have to cover them with hardware cloth. These are comparable in size and cost, and I’m wondering if I’d have to add hardware cloth.
