Pasty butt???

So we just got chicks yesterday! They all seem active and healthy, but they seem to be straining when pooping. One of them even tries super hard but no poop comes out. Another chick seemingly has poop stuck to her butt. It’s not that close to her vent but in the fluff around it. I don’t want to have to wash her off if I don’t have to because of how young she is, but what do you guys think? How can I help them or is this normal?

I'd wash it off only because it could progress to something worse. You can do this with a damp paper towel.

I am an amateur and would not want to misguide you but you could try giving her coconut oil. I've used it for issues like this.

Is that safe to give 2 day old chicks?

I looked it up, yes you can as long as it is a very tiny amount. It helps with constipation.
