Pekin leg problem????

Well this would make sense. After being in a bigger run for daytime and such her legs are already showing improvement over the course of 2 days, haven't been to the store yet but her hips aren't so jutted out and she's doesn't seem to be stepping on her feet.. Wondering if it was more cramped space added to a niacin deficiency.. But after reading more on here I'm going to assume the raspy peeping is the beginning of quacking for the 2. They are approx 3 weeks possibly 4 so it would make sense. Thank you all for the help! Will keep you guys posted on how the niacin works, just picked up some 100mg tablets from the store. Couldn't find brewers yeast and wanted to help the issue ASAP.
Hopefully it will only take a few days to begin to see improvements, and getting more exercise will help alot too. Look forward to hearing some good news.

Fingers crossed she gets better:) I would love to do some light swim therapy but they're still fluffy and it's still pretty cold here, they are only allowed In their outside pen if it's above 50. And I don't want them to catch a chill.. Hoping it will warm up here soon!!!

Do you have access to duck starter? i found mine needed it, niacin was not enough.. the duck starter fixed all leg issues i saw, they are such rapid growers.. i have not had to do this with other ducklings before.

As for voice by about 3wks + i started to hear some awful loud birds.. usually by 5-6wks is when the voices start coming through, i have quite a few girls in my half dozen just haven't sorted out how many yet lol

They can play in warm water bath tub. so good for them to be able to bath just put water up to body at first let them get use to standing in the water first then put enough in to float they will have a blast and begin to preen which will help them get their oil gland working and get water proof quicker. Always stay with them when they are in water they can tire out easily till older.

They are on duckling starter feed. Not just chick starter already, and as for the added niacin and some extra running room she/he's almost completely better. Hips aren't jutting out, not stepping on her own toes anymore.. And that's after one night and full day of niacin added to their water.

Well we had a random turn of weather today! 60+ today. So we busted out the kiddie pool and let them have some fun in about 2 inches of water. Then we put away the rest of the babies and filled it up enough so problem child could swim for a bit. She's honestly improved so much after having extra room and added niacin after only 1 day of niacin I'm amazed. I didn't know niacin deficiency was that big of an issue for them.

Some duckling just seem to need more and what amazing turn around for your baby. now be sure to keep this up till they are at least 10 weeks old, by then they have begun to slow their growing down more and level off.

I was wondering how long. I thought I had heard 8 weeks but 8 or 10 I'll keep them on it until then. 10 sounds a little better just in case. I would post pictures but I'm not at my house right now to take any. Will post some of her progress here in a few hours.
