She has layer feed and sometimes cracked corn. What's her full diet?
Ok, thanks. She has layer feed and sometimes cracked corn.
Treatment is Give her a good washing up.I have had chickens for 4 years and never experienced this. Her but is pasty but she is eating and drinking fine. How do I treat?
No other problems. I mean I have not got up in her booty and sniffed. But, her comb is bright red and healthy looking. I have heard of using Monistat to helpTreatment is Give her a good washing up.
Dry her very well, even with a hair dryer if it's cold weather.
Fluffy Butts just sometimes need a good washing. An older her may not shoot the poop as far as she used to and get a dirty bum. Lightly trimming fluff, especially in summer can also help them stay a bit cleaner.
She's eating/drinking fine. Any other problems?
Vent Gleet is a yeast or fungal infection. You will usually see a continuous white pasty, sticky yeasty smelling discharge coming from the vent.
