It’s like a growth off the side of his penis. The penis tip looks fine.

I tried to peel away where it look twisted on itself but nothing really was coming off. It does not look like there is string or hair causing the strangulation.

Okay, I understand, it's not an option for me either.

The first thing you need to do is clean it and post new pictures. Ideally you would use saline and chlorhexidine, but if you don't have those, just use warm water and a mild soap.

Do not try reinserting it, because it's infected, and do not apply any creams to it until we see it all cleaned up. If all of that is his penis, which I think it is, I am pretty sure you need to cut the damaged tissue off.

The growth is bleeding, so obviously has blood supply. If i cut where it’s twisted, I’m afraid he would bleed out.
It’s not necrotic but definitely infected

Does the growth feel hard or squishy? If squishy, maybe try to aspirate some fluid from it.

So I just put him back out in the coop. The mass is squishy. I’m think I might tie a silk suture around it to cut off the blood supply and let that piece die. His penis looks completely fine. I was able to help him get it back in his body, obviously not any furter than the mass would allow.

Yea. I don’t know what else to do! This is just so odd. Has anyone seen a tumor/growth/hernia on the side of a duck penis before!!!??
