The slight pink-iness of the comb makes me think boy, but it not very much so I say wait it out.

I really really hope you are right! Yes there is basically no comb development. I’m not sure if that is a silkie thing though..I'm leaning towards pullet... little to no comb development since the last photos, really nice frizzle-ing![]()
Technically he is only 1/4 silkie, but I have read they are harder to tell, and I worry that this is one of those. I always call it a “him” but “he” has no comb. I just don’t know! 10 more weeks?? Argh lol.I’m leaning towards ‘wait another 10 weeks’. Silkie chicks are not easy to discriminate girl or boy.

Thank you, that was really useful information!!I think there are several factors that make silkies hard to tell:
--crest hides the comb
--beard may hide the wattles
--dark skin means you cannot tell whether the comb is red or pale
--silkied feathers makes it difficult or impossible to spot the pointy male saddle feathers
You bird has the crest and the beard, and I'm not sure how easy it will be to tell the shape of the feathers when they are frizzled like that.
But with the skin being lighter, at least you can make some guesses based on the color of the combI'm guessing female, but there's still a chance of slow-maturing cockerel.
