Pullet or cockerel?

Man I shouldn't try to communicate when I am suffering brutal sinus pressure and have taken half my medicine cabinet for it.

So now that I'm better I'll give it another go: the comb definitely looks suspicious, but I find it interesting how the chick doesn't 'confront' the camera. In my experience (I raise most of my chickens straight run), the earliest indication of a bird being a cockerel comes from their behavior; things like a heightened interest in popping and bumping, being curious about and one of the first to inspect new things and objects, and doing the head turn stare at you. These things are not able to determine a cockerel by themselves, but coupled with physical characteristics they all but confirm the animal's sex. So I think it's going to take a few more weeks before you can be sure one way or the other.
