purchasing an incubater and eggs VS buying hatched chicks?

Well I think my family has desided that we are going to Incubate our new additions. I'm going to purchase a bator, and might try and build one for fun at a later time. I have found one on Stromberg's website "it's the hovabator turbo fan with auto turner for $128 free sipping. Ive also got one at my local Tractor supply store, it's the Farm innovation's pro 4200 circulated air with auto turner for the same price. I've heard the hovabator is a better unit but they look almost identicle. I think I read that the Hovabator has a deeper lid for larger eggs. Has anyone used either of these models and which one would you choose? Thanks by the way does anybody know of any fertile Barred rock eggs anywhere
