Meet Zuri, my new (and first) Bearded Dragon. She's as sweet as they come. If I am sitting in the sun she will climb up onto my lap to sun herself. Then once she's warmed up she'll take off across the room as fast as she can, lick the wall, then zoom in another direction. 🤣 She is quite entertaining.

She loves to look out the window. Too cold for her out there right now!

Pros and cons of getting a skink? Ive been thinking of what to get once my hedgie passes. Not willing to get another beardie and while a pied ball would be awesome, unfortunately a frequent visitor to the house is phobic of snakes.
Sandfish skinks are really cool.
I personally would suggest tortoises since they are really cool.

They are also all wild caught, are almost completely unhandleable, and are buried 99% of the time.

excluding the fact that there are well over 50 species relatively available in the US and the smallest are wild caught and still need a 6x3 foot enclosure at minimum, that is a horrible suggestion. All tortoises are very very expensive to care for and very high maintenance.

So there was a hole in my meal worms can, I then found out but it was too late.... mealworms got out and I spent like 20 minutes picking them up
I did that withh a mealworm stack farm. Left a drawer half out and dumped the whole thing.
Tortoises are a bit more of a commitment then Im looking for. Fun to visit and play with but not a critter Ive ever been inclined to keep. The 15ish yr age range for most medium sized lizards is a good fit for me.
