Found a bantam sized chicken in the neighborhood. She is eating. Looks healthy. We dewormed her. She is in the house as of now. To scared to put her out with our chickens plus it’s 25degrees here at night. We do have heat lamps but she is small. However, she has a lot of urine with her poop. She is also laying down frequently. Now with that being said she follows us around. She does not like being alone and will call out if she doesn’t see us. I’m just concerned about her when she lays down. Any thoughts? I don’t want to miss something. Thank you for any advice

Don't put her with your other chickens for at least a week. She needs to be quarantined as she could have infectious diseases.

Could you take a picture of her poop?
How heavy is she? If you can’t weigh her, feel her keel bone. It shouldn’t be too prominent.

It helps to quarantine away from your other birds for a month if possible to watch for signs of a respiratory or other disease. You can look for any lice or mites which could spread to your others. Do you have a balanced chicken feed for her? If you have any vitamin B complex, give her 1/4 tablet daily, since it has riboflavin or B2 which can help leg problems or a deficiency.

She weighs 1.8 pounds. Keel bone feels normal. She is still in the house. I haven’t put her with the other chickens. I have noticed she is drinking more water than I feel is normal.

Laying down how? Is she lying on her side? Have you checked her thoroughly for lice and mites?
No love or mites. She is actually a gorgeous bird. Just watery poop. She just seems to get tired and lays down. Not on side. She talks a lot. Doesn’t like being alone. She is in the house and follows us like a dog. If she can’t see you she gets upset. It is strange to me
