Rescued Feral Rock Dove/Pigeon

Really not my business but ... Are you contemplating a lifetime partner with that sort of callous attitude toward our fellow creatures? You don't have to answer that, sorry. Lol

I have places where I can go where they'd accept me and the dove with open arms, including a person I have known for a long time who has rescued many doves before and knows exactly how I feel. Can't put the youngster outside as there's no place safe to put it from the weather and predators, and they'd certainly not allow me to make a makeshift loft, as they want it gone by tomorrow and that's that... So if they can't accept me as who I am and my soft heart, then I will go with the dove.

It isn't just about the bird, it is them trying to pressure and bully me into submission and refuse to even acknowledge my points, rather wanting me to change for them than trying to find a compromise.
:highfive:Good choice imo. Our posts crossed paths in cyberspace, haha.

We have been together for years, but we have only lived together for a single year... He knew exactly what he was getting with me, as I often mentioned how much of a softie I am and how many times I brought critters home at my dad's, but now suddenly decides that he can't put up with it because, gasp, it happened here and now threatens to throw the bird out if I don't get rid of it... So yeah, so much for him loving me for my love and passion for animals.

It isn't like I am new to this either, I have temporarily looked after an injured racer at my dad's who was attacked by a predatory bird until the RPRA, who I reported him and his green leg ring to, located and contacted his owner.

I nicknamed him Pidove until he was collected. XP

You can certainly see the age difference in the beak as the previous dove I looked after was older. Certainly this little bab is one of this years.

Also, what is it with doves (well, birds in general now I think of it) snuggling up to my hand and leaning against it? XD

So... I have bad news.
Was trying to take the dove to a rescue reserve, but sadly it passed away during the bus trip there... If I was allowed more than a single day to care for it, it would have likely survived. But ignorant people forced me to get rid of it only after a day of taking it in.
