Rooster has bad bumble foot and inflamed red legs. Feather casings not coming off like usual molting. Help!

MY Rooster is supposed to be an easter egger.

but he was also supposed to be a hen too so who knows!

Aww Luna is beautiful. He is a partridge Cochin ! Yours must be too. Is he pretty docile as well? I had a hen of the same breed years ago, she was gorgeous. Sadly she passed when she was younger. I would definitely want to get more.

He could still have his feet soaked in warm Epsom salts or Dawn and water with a splash of Betadine. Or, you could apply a dressing with either povidone iodine (Betadine) and plain sugar, which can draw out any infection. Prid drawing salve can work too. The dressing is a gauze square or tells, and strips of vet wrap or cohesive bandage.
