Rooster is attacking humans

I have a friend over here who had the same problem. Jarvis (named after Jarvis Cocker) started to become aggressive to everyone except his owner whom he adored. The feeling was mutual so Jarvis remained.
Then the owner went on holiday and a neighbour cared for Jarvis and his harem. Unfortunately he attacked the kind lady, ripped open an artery in her leg and but for a passing farmer …
However, would you believe ? even after this the dippy stupid woman still didn’t do the right thing to Jarvis 😡 imo.
Luckily no one of our family got injured so far, if this had happened I would have chopped off the head immediately...

I think you should put the rooster down if, you showed him fear, (that pumps his ego) and if you ever had kids that play chase games with him, (meaning they let the rooster attack them.) Roosters will play that game until they win- or the kid gets hurt, then the kid runs to mom to say the rooster is being mean. Also if you shove with a boot, or broom you will eventually have to put them down, because that is also fun for the rooster.

And never turn your back on him.
I don’t know much about roosters except that they would abuse my genteel virginal little ladies. 😂
Although the boyz are very pretty.

I have chopped the rooster today, thanks for the advices, everything worked well. Maybe sometimes it's possible to change aggressive behavior but as there are so many friendly roosters looking for a new home every year next time I would not wait that long anymore to dehead an aggressive one.

Well done! Now you will notice how peaceful keeping chickens can be and enjoy it.

Hello chicken enthusiasts,

At the moment we have problems with our 6 months old rooster. Whenever someone is entering the coop he attacks, at the moment its difficult to collect eggs or cleaning the coop. When I turn the back to him he tries to jump me in the back and its the same with everyone else. Any advices on how to deal with a very aggressive rooster?

My goose is a guard to my hens.
In the warmer months they have about 1/4 acre fenced to play in, I have areas the hens can go and get away from the goose, or I keep him penned in a section, because he will harass the hens, but one time he was making big stink, I went out to see what the fuss was, and there was a hawk on the fence. The Hawk didn't dare attack because the goose was telling him..."Don't even try it!"
