*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

Good morning! We finally got some rain late last night in to early moring hours. Witch is great was getting really dry and stinky around here. As you know i had to separate my drakes from the ladys a few days ago. Yesterday i let one out to make the ladys happy and of course him. My question is. Why does he keep pushing this one white female away? If she gets to close to him he runs her off. He only does this with one white female. He is happy with all the other ones. Any ideas? Im very confused about this behaver.:idunno

are they related? how old are they both? were they together before you seperated the drakes from the ducks & how did they act towards ea other then? just trying to think of reasons for you/them not getting along now.
like Amiga said, sometimes they just dont like ea other. actually to me it is that the drake obscesses over one or two ducks and that is all they can think about or focus on, kwim?

not sure. He is a gray A.K mallard she is a white. They have been together all there life. All 14 of my runners will be 22 weeks monday. I never seen him push her way before i separated them. He is mated to a female gray A.k mallard. How do i know this. When i let him out of the coop to be with the girls with in seconds the little gray laid down for him to mate with her. She was the only one that did that and she is the only one he stays close too. He likes all the other girls dont get me wrong. There are a total of 8 for him to love but just that little white one he just doesn't want her close to him. Not even when he is in the pool. He makes her stay away even then.

was the white one best friends w/the one he likes now? the one that layed down for him? maybe the white one is dominant over the gray one that he likes? IDK?
when i seperate my drakes and ducks and then when i put them together again (in each breed) they will fight through the fence. and they dont fight when they are together, unless they are broody? for some reason they fight when i change them up and the drakes are involved. and then when i put the drakes back together, they will fight w/ea other for awhile, until they settle down again. i think it is hormonal and testosterone and dominance and choosing. i feel bad that they fight.

hmm i really dont know if they was friends. My boys dont fight much at all witch is a surprise with there being 6 boy's. Everyone gets a long good except the boys are getting a bit ruff with the love making and now with Tornado pushing the white one away. They are or seem to be a close family more or less.
