That's more what I'd expect from a brown egg layer.
If the are mixed breeds instead of just one could that cause the color of the egg to flex? I got them all from TSC.

Very possible. Brown eggs are a brown coating on a white shell, sometimes the coating can miss a beat(spray booth glitch)....and the coating can naturally fade over the laying season, can be darkest at onset of lay after the molt/winter break then fade as the summer goes by.Is this even possible?!?!
