If it's a Sapphire Gem, it's gotta be a pullet, as males are barred. So either it's a fast maturing girl or it's a boy of a different breed.

It's possible it's a production blue. If it were a Sapphire gem it would be a pullet for sure. Sapphire gem males are barred.

Sapphire gems should be sex linked. But that is most definitely a boy, sorry. Did you get these chicks direct from the hatchery or through a feed store/other third-party? Perhaps a mislabel mishap? Another possibility is that the barring is harder to see because it isn't on a black background.
