I have 4 hens.they are silky breed with 11 chicks. Should I move all of them out of the coop into somewhere else with having two roosters. I don't want to separate the hens from the chicks so should I move all of them?

Because I'm worried that the roosters trying to get close to hens especially in the morning would stir up the coop and the chicks would get caught in the middle. The hens are getting ancy too cause I've kept them in coop since they hatched last week

Unless the roosters are going after the chicks they should be fine. My roosters have always been protective of the chicks and while they let the mammas do their thing they tend to stay close by watching. As for temperature that’s what the broody hens are for. The chicks will be fine in cooler temperatures as long as the broody hens are taking care of them. Chicks do not need to be kept warm 24/7, but rather have a place to go to warm up if they need it.

If the hens are raising the chicks, the hens will keep the chicks warm no matter what the temperature is outside. Under normal circumstances roosters do not harm chicks.

Broody hens can have issues with other broody hens. Sometimes broody hens will chase chicks that are not theirs. I don't usually have these problems with my Silkies, but each bird is different.

How much space and how many birds? Did all 4 hens brood?

Ok I will take down the barrier I have now separating them from roosters and see how it goes. Thank you so much for the advice 🙏 😊
