Today is Swedish Flower Hen hatching day! I love landrace breeds and the ability to have totally different looking chicks. The 40 eggs that went into lockdown have the potential to hatch put every mix of color and pattern. Three roos over 13 hens. 5 are out. Several are zipping. More are pipped. And a few others don't

technically hit Day 21 until tomorrow.

Congratulations! I have my 1st ever batch of muscovys in the incubator. 6 total and all still surviving at day 17. Totally new to this as I have a stray Muscovy "Miss Tilly". Varmints kept eating her babies so i decided to help her. Guess I'm gonna be a duck Mom!

I started with muscovy eggs too! Wowza a journey I've been on in 6 years!

6 chicks have hatched so far from the second batch. 3 blue golden cuckoo Marans (wasn't expecting all blue) the birchen Marans, one olive egger from a blue egg and one Welsummer. A few more pips in the Welsummer and the other blue but wrong end there
