Bunny and her fabulous tufts
They are Easter Eggers that came from Hoovers hatchery 3 years ago!Zoey and Ava have such unique coloring! Love the grey beards & muffs. What are they?
Oh haha is there a face under all that hair somewhere?!View attachment 3531277Thing, a mottled houdan (crest is trimmed so she can see)
That’s why the crest gets trimmed so she can see. Otherwise the others act like she's blind. Watching her move is hilarious: crest bobs in counterpoint to the head. Got dubbed Thing 2 for good reason. (Thing 1, just like her, got killed by a dog, along with several others).Oh haha is there a face under all that hair somewhere?!
Aw I think my EE (my 1st photo) may turn out like Maybelline...her beard/muff is the last to fill in and she's still got some baby fuzz mixed in even at 9 weeks. This is Maybelline with the epic beard EE View attachment 3531496
This is a little pullet I have. Barred rock daddy and EE mama View attachment 3531495
This is Pebbles, she’s almost seven years old ( on the left )I'm raising breeds with 'facial hair' for the first time and just can't get enough of it!
Show me your chickens with their fabulous muffs, beards, and tufts!
Here are my 9-10 week olds!

Whoa I've never heard of Watermaals...I thought that was their names! But I looked them up what very fancy birds...especially in the pure white. Just gorgeous!Almost 7 week old Watermaal showing off her (I think) fancy crest, she's got the starts of a beard coming in too.

And an almost 7 week old Watermaal who I'm fairly certain is a cockerel showing off his smaller crest and beard while perching on my knee
