Hello, I have a 10 week old white legwhorn who has been acting very lethargic and weak this past week. Shes also very puffed up and her crown has completely went lop sided.

I have started her on Corid but am not sure this is the right approach. I have 9 other chickens and have since quarantined her after noticing she’s not doing well. Her poops are whitish/black and she doesn’t move much at all.

First time chicken owner and any information is greatly appreciated.

How does her crop feel—empty, full, hard, or squishy? Does she have any drainage from eyes or nostrils? She may have coccidiosis or be dehydrated. I would give her sips of fluids right away. Get Corid at your feed store. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5 days. Get a syringe and give her sips until she is drinking well. Here is a good video of giving fluids or tablets to a chicken:

Should I give her the Cori's straight when syringe feeding? Or dilute it first
