It’s really hard to tell at this age... with silkies it can be impossible to tell until they crow or lay an egg... by it’s stance I’m leaning more towards roo, but you may not be able to tell for a while. But keep an eye on it’s behaviour and that might help!
I was told he is rooster. I just got it today. The other 2 have dark and larger combLooks like a hen.
But as others have said Silkies are hard to sex.
Most Roosters get long spike like feathers on the back of their head,and long neck feathers near the base of neck. Which going by that yours does not seem to posses,yet.
Sometimes the girls are a bit wider at the hips then Boys.
Lil butt usually is a boy
Fluffy big butt is a girl.
Least from what I've noticed.
Mine started getting the streamers at 8 weeks. But had a more developed comb at 6 weeks. He just crowed for the first time today. I hatched him in June.
