Silkie Thread! Talk about your Silkies and post pics of your Silkies

Here are pics of my one and only little Silkie hatched from eggs from Bobbi Porto's Silkies. She was the only one to hatch of 18 - the eggs really had a rough, rough trip with one smashed and many detached air cells. I have six more eggs from Bobbi in the incubator now due to hatch next week so hopefully Turk will have some buddies soon.

This is at about 2 weeks:

I take the worst pictures in the world but for some reason when I still had dinner to cook I decided to get some of the birds occupying the Silkie coop.

Two lavender pullets and their pen mates 2 white pullets.

I also have some splashes for sale, they are nice birds but I'm running out of space and I want to work on the cuckoos.

And lastly there's George. He's a bit um challenged. As you can see, his feather growth is way behind the others. He's 4 months old and is less than half the size of the others his age. But he's a sweetie. He comes in the house to sleep and he perches on the bottom of the aquarium stand. He free ranges during the day. I can't pen him up with any others because they hurt him. They peck and bloody his already almost bald head. When it's time to go nside to go to bed he just jumps into my hand. He's that small. I carry him in one arn and my teacup chihuahua in the other into the house at night. I'm sure it's a sight.
