Hello all!
For a while now, our oldest roo (13-14 months old, golden laced polish) has been acting strange and unhealthy. I'll attach a picture to this post when I am able.
His comb / beard looks either pale or orange, he has gotten more slow and doesn't really chase after bugs as much as the others do, and he looks really skinny. With that, he also just lost a lot of feathers and is trying to grow some back (possibly molting? I thought birds start to molt when they are about 2 years old?). He sits around almost all day, and i've seen him sitting alone, and away from the rest of the flock. This has been going on for two months now, and at first I figured he would get better, but I am concerned. He is by no means a good roo, lost more birds on his watch than with out last roo, but I still don't like to see him suffer.
We used to have another roo, who the polish would chase around the yard. Back then, he seemed healthy, but ever since we have gotten rid of the other roo he has been like this.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
