Soft shelled egg

And she has been going into the box every morning. Yesterday she left with no egg. She is in there now, but I would be surprised if there is an egg when I get home.

Now my question is...how can I help her get back on her morning egg laying schedule?
You can't....
As long as the nests are easy to access.
...just give her time.

Remember those softies are hard to move. Did you sprinkle some OS on top of feed and on the ground?

Yes. Thanks for the advise. I think I’m just a nervous first timer here. When things don’t go according to my plan, I get a little worried.

:gig Well, keeping chickens will get you over that...or not. We plan, the chicken gods laugh!

They are live animals, no guarantees that they will behave according to any of the 'rules' written by humans.

There's a lot of little details to learn your first year, just be open minded, never hesitate to ask a questions, if you see something really weird it's always good to take a few pics.
