She's gorgeous! And aptly named.

I found her nearly naked wandering around and crying so I raised her. Once she could fly, she just continued to hang out with us. A couple months later our grandkids saw another one. I told them I didn't want to know about it or where it was, but it wandered up by the house and I couldn't help myself. Raised a second one with Cuckoo 's help. We named it Kachoo. Kachoo was not afraid but didn't come and land on your head or shoulder as Cuckoo did. I believe Kachoo is still out there somewhere with the other wild pigeons.

She is camouflaged with the background! Hiding from predators.

That predator was probably me at the time lol

I had just dragged her out of her nest box because she was being a stubborn broody brat for like the 10th time that year I tried to set her gently on the ground, but she pecked me on the arm, glared, flew out of my arms with her "buk-buk-buk don't touch me, peasant!" and slumped on the ground like she was too weak to move her fat bottom....thus the photo!

My beloved Tony. She's turning 8 this year, so we got her a year after Grandma. She has a "scared" personality, never seems to be calm and always runs away. She also kicks her feet if someone is holding her.

She's very pretty. Some people keep live plants as decoration. Why not live statuary.
