Temporary dog crate?

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone knows if the hard sided plastic dog crates are predator proof for overnights while we build our predator proof run/coop. We have 2 ducks in a snap lock formex and that thing is racoon proof, there's bite marks to prove it. Would a dog crate as a temp overnight house be ok for a few ducklings? Our pullets are fine on housing.

I wouldn't trust it out where anything could chew on it.
Put it in a safe place.

Put the ducklings in the crate and the crate in the house, or even an enclosed porch.
