The Moonshiner's Bootleg Incubator Reviews And Discussions

Will I need to do the same thing with the incubator? Has anybody tested this by unplugging briefly? Thanks
Just unplugging it for a few seconds in order to plug it into our solar backup for a stormy night in a preemptive strike did make it lose a day in the countdown for some reason. I had to adjust it once because of that. I was suprised, but it was back up to temp/humidity in the blink of an eye. We have to be ready all the time since our mountain power is a bit precarious, leading to brown outs and brief outages almost every week, doesn't even take bad weather for that to happen. I keep saying our power company needs a new squirrel for their ancient treadmill.

Ah ok, so it did lose a day on countdown. I guess I could just watch it closely and adjust if required. I will do some experiments with it prior to setting eggs, set it, unplug and plug back in, simulate how it acts when the power switches over to generator.

I too live in the mountains, the power is generally reliable but we do experience enough outages that myself and more than a few neighbors have installed back up systems over the years. In the winter it is not uncommon for heavy wet snow to knock out a power line and it could be days without.

Thanks

The manual doesn't directly answer your question, however I've had the power go out for quite a bit longer than a minute and didn't have to reset the Maticoopx 30.
Thank you for this information, now I have no reason to read the manual... lol

I will do some experimenting with plugging in and unplugging and see what happens, Specklehen said hers lost a day on countdown when breifly unplugged.

Thanks

Mine arrived 2 weeks ago but still sitting in the box, so I'm no help... 🙂

Mines still in the amazon box, so a box in a box. I am about two weeks out for setting eggs so it will be out of the box soon enough!
See pic above? Amazon box, also 🤣
I've got eggs arriving at some point also but I've had one NR 360 hatch, 56 in the Brinsea going on lockdown today, a momma with babies and 3 more broodys. #MassChaos

I had to at least look to see if I got what I paid for...🤣
Ya, I would be mad as hell if I opened the box to find something other than what I ordered, unless it was the 30 instaed of the 20... I am leaving on a trip today so I will wait until I get back. It will be like xmas morning
