Can we blame that on climate change too??That was me last year! Everything I hatched was 80% to 90% cockerels.

That... Has never happened to me...That was me last year! Everything I hatched was 80% to 90% cockerels.
Maybe it's your turn this seasonThat... Has never happened to me...
XD
Oh yes way! lol I love the little fuzzy butts, but by end of Summer to early Fall I am more than happy to turn the incubators off.No way!
Only thing I was sick of this year is getting so many roosters hatch
Out of 30 sebrights hatched .... I got 5 pullets!
Can you even eat a Sebright? They are a smaller bantam breed, correct? We eat all of our surplus cull roosters, but when they are tiny and lean like bantams they aren't much worth butchering. Maybe sell them off as breeders or pets?I know right!
I literally just have a pen full of nice bright red combs
So.... anyone want a Sebright rooster or 3 or 16?
Yeah I'm sure you could eat them.... is it worth the time and money to process them... probably not...Can you even eat a Sebright? They are a smaller bantam breed, correct? They are very small and lean.
Because they are reasonably rare here I'm trying not to just dispatch them. They are very cool looking little roosters. You may be able to sell a few? What do you normally do with surplus bantam roosters? I had a ton of OEGB roosters at one time. They make great pets.![]()
