When the dealership had to buy their truck back from us because they removed all the emissions components, I had to appeal to the IRS to get the taxes back ( $1700) they told us it could go 6 months before they make a decision. That was in May. We already got the refund. I was surprised. But maybe it's a different department then income taxes.
I hope you get your refund soon.
