You guys are making me feel guilty --- I've been stuck in a no exercise rut for a while now. My second choice to exercise is - I wonder what the chickens are doing? so I always choose to check on them over exercise. Does that count?

If you walk on out there... it is exercise!

Also... add in "i must feed them treats" then walk around finding weeds to rip up and feed them.... more exercise!

I bought a exercise bike that sit's on the floor.
Set the pressure of the pedals and peddle.

Perfect!

I like the way you think - and yes - I always walk out there and usually let them out - haha - following them around the yard, mini walks if you will. I also help them forage for bugs!

I have some hens that are getting redder in the comb and wattles, but aren't laying at the moment. I'm hoping the solstice puts them back in lay.

Good morning, sourland. I know what you mean. I dumped 9 homer buckets of compost dirt / leaves in the run yesterday --- really feeling it today - pulled my calf muscle in the process.
