The Olive-Egger thread!

Thanks for the reply, newlyweds. Your opinion appears to be the consensus (one person thinks #3 is a pullet). While I certainly didn't want that many roos, I'll be happy at this point to have at least one black pullet out of this hatch. I have 2 pretty blue ones, and a welsummer mix that came from my own eggs.

Without going thru all 288 pages of this wonderful thread can anyone tell me if bantam OE's exist? I have/had (had an accident today with one

) three/now two beautiful young girls growing out that will lay an very nice shade of olive but wonder if there are any in bantam, would be nice to have a bit smaller size in my kids bantam flock.

No I don't have bantam's just a couple of LF, but would love to have a couple bantam oe's for the kid's little 'hen pen'.

Hey guys
I got 5 eggs from bobby (aka hatchingfever) by way of patty carson (aka onthespot) in lockdown right now! Im hopping to be a proud olive egger father sometime today or tomorrow! All of the eggs I got were olive except one so most of them were too dark to candle but I could def see movement in the one that was blue and one of the lighter speckled olive ones so im keeping my

Ok for a new guy though, If i cross a easter egger (araucana) and a RIR would the chicks lay olive eggs???
