I found a dead sparrow in my pen a few months back. Not sure how it died but no one ate it. I have been having problems with them even with things I have bought that were to scare them away. I have netting over part of the pens but they are smart and can find the smallest hole. Anyone have any luck in chasing them away from the pens?
Nope. Sparrows are eating my birds food too. You'd think the ducks would chase them away but no.
The reason we find a dead one once in a while here is they smack the window.

I have bold chipmunks coming right into the pens to steal their food!

Is this the kind of spot that means the egg was fertilized? I just never had a Drake long enough before to actually come across a real fertilized egg.

My husband is over wintering his pepper plants and he said he uses lady bugs to get rid of them. You can order them but his were already on his plants so he just left them on there to feast on them. His are out in a heated garage though so I don't know if you would want more bugs in your house or not.
My wife would freak out if i let loose even more bugs in the house…
I have sprayed a variety of insecticides on to the plants, so i am not sure if that would be healthy for the lady-bugs.

This year i had Cardinals nesting inside of the dux-house. They went completely mad when i went inside to collect the eggs - the dux-eggs of course - but still managed to raise some young.
