You're in a border town. You have options for good mex from every roach coach on every corner. Chipotle isn't as good as you can get local.

However, as you get further from the border, the options get worse, and Chipotle's a lot closer to authentic than taco bell or the "white people tacos" brand of Mex that thrives North of OK and East of Colorado.

I can see that.

I lived in California at that time though. It still was popular enough to survive especially considering the area I lived in meant "instant expensive" if you mentioned the name.

There is good Mexican food here but I am not as big of a fan of Mexican as I am of burgers.

I never got it animal style but I did like the double with fries. And a milkshake. Preferably vanilla. The fries also need ketchup.

you can always "forget" about the meatloaf until it's charcoal and go get culvers. No one will complain.

My meatloaf is really good. I would complain. And the nearest Culver's is 30 mins away, not worth it

it’s funny there a McDonald’s a Wendy’s and a Taco Bell writhing half a mile of each other the McDonald’s being where I work multiple Wendy’s employees and Taco Bell employees come eat at McDonalds one from each have started working for us now I eat at McDonald’s when I work cause I get a free meal and half an hour isn’t enough time to find something actually good to eat then get back to work.

When I worked at BK sometimes our manager would work a trade with one of the other fast food places in the area so we could have something different for a change. IIRC, sometimes we would get pizza from Pizza Hut, chicken from that finger-lickin' place, Arby's or (I think) Taco Bell. This was on Colorado Blvd in Denver, lots of options! Yes indeed, good times!

My manager has sent me to pick up pizza hut a couple of times during Hurricane helene and for a couple days after because we were nonstop wrapped around the building from 4 AM to 11 PM when we close I expect it even worse for Milton I’m off tomorrow but expected to be back at work on Thursday.

I wish I could say:

How tragic is this child's background that he cannot even conceive of an individual that does not lie. And how barren his upbringing that he would repeatedly accuse a person he does not know of lying, and feel no shame in doing so. I realize he does not know that I am old enough to be his grandmother at least, and possibly even his great-grandmother. Perhaps he has no such adults in his life to teach him respect and common courtesy. I feel no anger toward him, only a deep and profound pity.
