TSC Olive Eggers & “Americanas”—any idea what color these chicks will be?

I was tractor-beamed into TSC today (helpless against the force-field of CHICK DAYS). I also have 2 relentlessly broody Silkies and I’m concerned about roosters.

So—when I saw one Olive Egger chick that looked like she was fading, I decided to try to save her & bring to my broodies.

Broody #1 (Jessica) accepted all four chicks. Broody #2 (Christine) did not want those bin babies. (I was going to give each hen 2–no dice.)

The gray, fluffy chick has rebounded after meeting her new mom & eating raw egg yolk. I’ve always ordered from Meyer Hatchery or Cackle—never Hoover’s.

I’m curious about what their adult feathers will look like. Gray girl looks like a Marans cross, imo, if she is really an Olive Egger. (That was what the bin said.) The black chick was also in the Olive Egger bin.

The two other chicks were labeled as “Americana,” but the colors are throwing me off. What are they likely to look like? I know hybrids are always a surprise.

The little gray Olive Egger with the feathered feet died a few days after I brought them home, but the other 3 are thriving with their adopted mom (a Silkie named Jessica).

Jessica with her giant babies that she can barely cover anymore (but she tries!)
LOVE it! I'm going to have a similar problem here, shortly. I have a very small Nankin bantam who kept stealing eggs from other hens. When "hers" finally hatched, she ended up with a Jersey Giant and a New Hampshire Red mixed in with her littles. That's odd enough on it's own, but she's what we used to call The Kool-Aid Mom" in our old neighborhood - all the kids ended up hanging at her (aka, our) house. She's usually got a few extras under there ... including another BJG, a Speckled Sussex and another large blue chick that is likely a Sapphire Gem or other related mix
Mama is too protective at the moment to get anything but "peeking beak" pics, yet, but it's gonna get REEEEAAAAALLY crowded under there in a week or two. They oughta make for some interesting pictures when they don't all fit anymore!
