Please don't feel like you're alone in this poultry adventure. Time to add my sob story to the current collection.Last year, I had a bright idea - why not get 12 straight run Easter Eggers? 10 cockerels, and 2 pullets. Enough said.

All but one met the chopping block.What’d you do with all of them?! I bet they were pretty though! EE roosters are my favorite. We have 2 right now. This guy is my favorite . We are slowly finding them new homes.

Too bad they were dazzlingly gorgeous. Only one turned out a decent bird, but we were unable to keep him as I have younger brothers who are terrified of large roosters. He's now the beloved pet of another family member.
