Spent all morning building a diy fence for under my porch (snake heaven) to keep my chicks away..
We have lots of natural hides and they have their coop, of course.

While we built the thing this morning all over hawks where flying and calling!! scary stuff. cant wait to get a dog and a bigger roo. we dont even know if we have one atm. hoping one of the pullets is a roo loll

When I called Kelso last month they told me (I hope I remember accurately!) they use Hoover and McMurray and at least one more in Oregon. I think the Battle Ground Wilco is similar but not exact.

It came up in convo yesterday at the Kelso Wilco and the gal who orders the chicks said the full list of hatcheries they order from is: Hoover, Ideal, McMurray, Jenks, and Cackle. All chicks (and hatcheries) are NPIP compliant and vaccinated most things accept coccidiosis. She keeps paperwork on the birds going back years! Definitely reassuring that they are probably some of the better hatchery birds in the area.
