38 when I got up and its 42 now, may get to 58 by 3pm.
I got all but the garden area mowed on Saturday and I weed eated the slop in front of the yard.
I don't know what I am doing yet, siding crew will be here. Boy Patriot Roofing has done a wonderful job. And the man we hired to do trim painting J.Manny's painting did great! work and got it all done in two days..
I want to work in the garden and coop and maybe get the wood chipper down to the limb piles I have by the fruit trees from all the trees I cut down last August, I'll play it by ear.
My New Hampshire chicks are enjoying the morning sun shining through the hardware cloth. They're close to 4 weeks old now I think. I gave them a pile of crushed river gravel for grit and another big dandelion plant. They're figuring out how to rip pieces of the leaves off and eat them.
The rotted woodchips make great chick bedding. All the poop just disappears, and no smell. You can see all seven chicks in the second pic. One is hiding in the shade.
Trying a little experiment. I planted some tomato seeds directly in the garden this morning next to the garlic. Seeds were from the volunteer tomato plant that did well in last year's garden.
Good morning Washington. Heading up to Costco and Haggen today. Need a printer. Also, looking for better lettuce at Haggen. Anyone else having trouble buying decent lettuce this winter? Last year it was so great.
Well, just for the record, Haggen has wonderful vegetables. The romaine lettuce was lovely. The iceberg was too, but I couldn't resist 4 heads of that great looking romaine. We make salad with our dinner every night, so lettuce matters here.
Jeremys produce moved into the building they had as restaurant.
Had more space there to add his produce section less money.
As when I did not have a spot here to grow in the winter I used them.
They are no longer down by Ace at all? I know they have always had a small produce market at the restaurant. Is that what you're talking about or did it take over part of the restaurant too? I'll have to check that out. It's a much better location. Right across from the Farm Store where we get our squirrel food.
